Ofsted and Performance Data
Our Performance
We are very proud of our pupils' achievements at Drayton Park and we annually reach outcomes which are well above National averages. In 2024, we achieved fantastic results, outlined below.
END OF KEY STAGE 2
Year 6 children take national tests called SATs (Statutory Assessment Tests) in May. Our results have been above national and local averages for several years. This year, they improved further and we are well above national averages in all subjects and in our combined reading, writing and maths (RWM) result. This places us amongst a handful of the highest achieving schools.
PHONICS RESULTS FOR YEARS 1 and 2
Children complete the Phonics Screening Check at the end of Year 1. For those who do not pass in Year 1, they are re-tested in Year 2.
MULTIPLICATION TABLES CHECK (MTC)
Year 4 children sit a national online multiplication check where they are tested on 25 questions from the 2 to 12 times tables under timed conditions, with 6 seconds to answer each question.
The government publish our results and compare them to national averages on the Department for Education website. Please view the page for Drayton Park here.
Ofsted
Our last full (Section 5) Ofsted inspection took place in May, 2016. We were delighted with the result. It represented a significant improvement on our previous report and a testament to the hard work and dedication of all our staff. The report also recognised the role our pupils have played in improving our school.
Ofsted revisited us in November 2019. This time they ran a 'Section 8' inspection. It was a visit to verify that our previous inspection results still hold true. Ofsted concluded that they do. Their report is written as a letter to parents. It is overwhelmingly positive about our school. All areas for improvement in our 2016 report have been effectively resolved. Our two new areas for improvement are about embedding existing good practice, which we have done. We are proud of the success we have had in continuing to improve Drayton Park. We succeed because our pupils are central to all we do: "Pupils speak with pride about their school and their part in helping it to improve." - Ofsted, 2016.
