If your child injures themselves or falls ill in school, our team of trained first aiders will provide immediate care. Depending on the severity of your child's needs, we will inform you at the end of the school day or immediately. We follow the DfE guidance on first aid in schools, available below.

If your child requires medicine in school, we can administer it, so long as we have your written permission. We will only administer medicine that is prescribed by a doctor for your child or that is recognisable as suitable for children. If your child requires asthma medication, we will keep it in school and enable your child to take it as required, within safe limits. Staff receive regular asthma and allergy training.
