We would like to extend an invitation to all prospective parents to come to Highbury Grove to meet some of the school’s students, parents and the new Headteacher, Aimee Lyall. She knows that choosing the best school for children is of paramount importance to families and would like to give parents the opportunity to ask any questions that they may have when considering their options.
Highbury Grove is one of the main secondary schools that parents from Drayton Park choose every year. You may be aware that the school has had a difficult time over the last few months. However, Aimee Lyall, the new Headteacher, has made some rapid improvements. I want to make it clear that I continue to support the school and consider it a great option for your children.
There is so much to celebrate at Highbury Grove, including a well-considered curriculum, excellent musicianship, a vast array of extracurricular activities, a comprehensive transition programme and nurture provision for students who need additional support. Crucially, staff remain committed to providing the very best education for students.
Many Drayton Park parents who have sent their children to Highbury Grove remain very positive about the school. A number will be at the meeting at Highbury Grove and will be happy to answer your questions. If you have considered Highbury Grove, it would be great if you could attend the meeting. If you can’t attend but would like to speak to a Drayton Park parent with children at Highbury Grove, let me know via email or the school office and I’ll try to arrange a chat.
