Children in Mercury class entered their sculpture “Tyre Tiger” into the Fourth Plinth schools art competition last month. We have just received the fantastic news that the sculpture has won the borough prize for Islington!
An award ceremony will be taking place in late April and organisers will be coming to take photographs of the sculpture, which was made from old tyres, wire and carrier bags. These photographs will be on display in an exhibition at City Hall from late April until June.
This is the third year in a row that Drayton Park has won the Fourth Plinth Islington prize!
