Early Years Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception)

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) operates a unique curriculum and approach to teaching and learning, based on our long experience of working with young children and gradually preparing them for the next stage of school. Our EYFS booklet, which you can download below, provides detailed information about the way we structure our Nursery and Reception provision and how we work with children and parents.

Also included below is the government's statutory framework for the EYFS, so you can understand the duties and standards we work to. Development Matters is a detailed document produced by the British Association for Early Childhood Education and is used very widely across the EYFS sector. It provides detailed guidance on expected progress and provision for children from birth to five years of age.

Toilet training

It is really important that your child is potty-trained before they start school.  ERIC, a charity devoted to helping to improve children's continence, has produced some really useful information and leaflets.  You can visit their website by clicking here, or download some of their leaflets below.
